MADRID TOURIST TRAVEL PASS

Definition

The Tourist Travel Pass is a personalized transport pass, which entitles the holder to make an unlimited number of trips, using the public transport system operating within a chosen zone, with the indicated exceptions.

To use the pass, its holder must carry a ticket with the valid zone and time period. The ticket must also contain the passenger identification number (from Identification Card, Passport, etc), written on it at the time of purchase. Any ticket without this information will be invalid.

Purchase

The Tourist Travel Pass may be purchased at:

  • Transport Consortium Offices.
  • All Metro and TFM lines.
  • Certain: tobacco shops, and Press Kiosks.
  • Determinados estancos y kioscos de prensa de Madrid.
  • Oficinas de Turismo Municipal (Plaza Mayor, 3)
  • CAM Tourist offices
    C/ Duque de Medinaceli, 2
    Estación de Atocha (Vestíbulo del AVE)
  • Pabellones del Recinto Ferial IFEMA.
  • Touroperadores
  • Los Hoteles pertenecientes al proyecto "Lazarillos" (8 Hoteles)
  • Other points of interest for tourism.
  • Internet.

Options

Zone Map for the Tourist Travel Pass, Zone A and Zone TAccording to the validity, there are five types of Tourist Travel Passes: for 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7 natural days.

According to the age, there are two types: normal and children.

Two different zones have been established: zone A and zone T.

Zone A passes have the same limits as the regular fare zone A and correspond almost entirely with the Madrid city limits.

Zone T covers the entire area where Travel Passes are valid.

Validity

A Tourist Travel Pass is valid for the number of natural days stated on the ticket, starting on the date of its first use. At that time, the expiration date will be printed on the ticket back. In all cases, validity will extent to 5 a.m. on the day following the expiration date.

Zone A Tourist Travel Passes can be used on:

  • All Metro lines inside the zone.
  • All EMT lines.
  • All RENFE¹, Suburban Train stations inside the zone.

Zone T Tourist Travel Passes, in the addition to the above, can also be used on:

  • All Metro lines.
  • All lines of Regular Passenger Public Transport by road.
  • All RENFE¹, Suburban Train lines.

(1) All travel passes are not allowed to travel in Regional Trains.

Taking into account, exceptions that could be stated by the Transport Authority.
